Overview
A growing construction company in Hanover is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage high-volume, full-cycle AP. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is tech-savvy with ERP systems, and enjoys being hands-on with daily accounting operations. Construction industry experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable for high-volume vendor activity
- Process invoices, match POs, verify approvals, and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate vendor records and support vendor communications
- Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile AP aging and assist with month-end close tasks
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and field teams
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of high-volume, full-cycle AP experience
- Experience using an ERP system (required)
- Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work onsite daily and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Construction industry experience (strong plus)
- Experience with job cost coding, subcontractor payments, or lien releases
- Familiarity with project-based accounting
